How do I get started on DEEP clearing?
Persons who have read a book or website about DEEP are much better capable of running DEEP. It is important that the person understands the basic principles. A planned series of DEEP sessions with a new client should be started with an intro session given by an experienced DEEP clearer where the DEEP principles are demonstrated in practice on light incidents, such as what happened during the last shopping trip or other non-traumatic incidents.

What makes a clearing session different from other methods?
What makes clearing and DEEP different from most other forms of self improvement and therapy is that it is done under the Clearer's Professional Code (see chapter 14) and that the communication drills (see chapter 3) are applied by the clearer in session. The clearer has to conduct him- or herself according to these standards at all times in session and not violate the trust of the person outside session. These are cornerstones in DEEP training. Similar codes and drills exist in a few other modalities while you don't find such instructions in the majority of self improvement and therapy systems. They are of vital importance to the uniformly stellar results gotten in DEEP.

Are DEEP packages always charged?
No. DEEP stands for Decision, Emotion, Effort/Energy, Polarity/Point of View. These are basically the factors through which life manifests itself. In plain English it is called subjective experience. If you take a skilled actor, who has the task of bringing a certain figure or character to life on stage, he works intuitively with this. A character comes alive and becomes credible when the actor can equip it with these faculties of life in a plausible way.

We found the following quote on the internet, written by a rabbi named Aron Moss:
“Our personality has three layers to it - intellect, emotion and action; what we think, what we feel and what we do.
“Intellect: My opinions on issues, philosophies on life and attitudes to myself and others.
“Emotion: My moods, desires and passions; what I love and what I hate, what I am scared of and what attracts me.
“Action: Not my beliefs or feelings, but what I actually do, how I live my life, and how I spend my time and energy.
“Ideally, these three faculties should be in sync. My beliefs and ideals should direct my passions and ambitions, which should in turn be translated into my lifestyle. But so often we find this is not the case. What I know is right doesn't always feel right, and what I feel like doing is not necessarily what I do.”

He says it very well. What we need to address are DEEP packages where things are out of sync. What we address in DEEP are charged DEEP packages where some kind of short circuit has made them impossible for the person to deal with or integrate in his or her life.

Can clearing and DEEP be done via the internet?
Much of our clearing work has been done by video-telephony, via the Skype computer program. This has worked very well. For students who want to do as much DEEP clearing as possible at an affordable price, the best method is to take some training in DEEP together with a designated partner and then do DEEP teamwork via, for instance, Skype. Even people in remote locations from each other can team up and just do DEEP clearing in their free time without having to make expensive and time-consuming travel arrangements.

Does the Ability One Group only deliver DEEP clearing?
No, we also deliver other modalities of clearing. DEEP is a new modality and many of our clients prefer modalities they are familiar with or they want to complete actions they have started elsewhere. We are fully equipped to do just that. Also, some clients early in their self-development work, will get more benefits from covering all their issues at a faster pace. The strength and power of DEEP is that this modality can handle resistive issues. It can handle issues the person has unsuccessfully tried time and again to get fully handled elsewhere.

Who can benefit from DEEP?
DEEP is intended as an advanced type of clearing. Beginning introspectors may benefit more from other types of clearing, such as a current life-issues program, also called life-repair, and the ability grades.
We see the subconscious mind as having three layers: thought, emotion and effort. Traditional types of clearing take care of the thought layer and make a dent in the emotional layer and the effort layer. It may not be that orderly in practice, but it remains a fact that not all people will run the full DEEP procedure with added benefit. DEEP goes more into details with resistive issues. When a person first starts clearing there are obviously many issues that all need attention. Therefore, going over it all in a lighter, faster way is a valid strategy.
We have an approach we call DEEP light, where we ask into emotions and efforts without trying to erase these layers. That is more appropriate for starting introspectors when we talk DEEP.

When do you not recommend to use DEEP?
People with heavy issues triggered here and now do not always run DEEP with sufficient ease. Since clearing work should be experienced by the introspector as a relief, where each session ends in a positive mood and relief, we use that as the most important mark to steer by. In some clearing practices the act of reviewing incidents, where emotions and efforts play a bigger part, is placed late in the line-up. This is because it is considered too difficult an action for beginning clients. The same can be the case with DEEP. So the clearer has to make sure the introspector is winning. If this is not the case, the introspector should be put on traditional clearing actions.
Also, if a DEEP introspector is experiencing a lot charge in life, a lot of bypass reactions triggered by the environment, the best approach is to find and indicate the charge. Not just to go into a thorough examination of one particular upset or problem when there are maybe 5, 6 or more. Also, minor upsets and problems that routinely may be needed to be taken up at the beginning of the session, should not be run with DEEP. We just want to get the introspector sufficiently focused to be fully present and with the activity. We just want these disturbances out of the way. We don't want to make them the main subject of the session. One way to get the introspector ready to focus on main issues, is to run some Fresh Reality (Havingness) in the beginning of the session. These are objective techniques and get the introspector's attention off disturbances and problems and onto the present time of the session and clearing work.

How long should a DEEP session be?
The length of a session is not set in stone. Some clients like shorter sessions, such as 30-45 minutes. Others like them long, like 2 hours plus. One client complained about sessions being too short. He wanted sessions of 2 ½ hours duration or more at a time. He said it took him long time to be fully focused on the session and doing only 1 hour was a waste of time.
As a rule, clients new to clearing should be given shorter sessions to start out with. Also, clients who have a lot of triggered charge in the present should be given shorter sessions until things settle down a bit.
A session should always be taken to a good point, to an endpoint and very good indicators. Also extroversion is an important indicator. A client who has extroverted with very good indicators is at a point that can be used as a session end point. To continue, the introspector has to be put back into session, you see.
Depending on the main action, there are usually several or many possible session end points in a normal session. You never end the session if the introspector is in some kind of trouble or has entered something hot and heavy and hasn't come out on the other side. If the introspector is all into it, you have to complete that before considering ending the session regardless of what the clock says.

Can DEEP be done solo?
DEEP does not lend itself well to solo work. By far the best results are gotten when working with a clearer. The clearer helps the introspector to get through and overcome difficult issues. The most economical set-up is to get some basic training in DEEP. We recommend you do training with the developers at Ability One Group. We arrange seminars in person and via net conferences. You should arrange for having a partner to work with during and after this training. The Ability One Group will of course be helpful in finding you a partner. You should also arrange to get a few hours of clearing work done by a professional clearer. This will handle some of your own issues and give you a valuable experience with DEEP. From there you can work with your partner and do as many hours as you possibly want at no extra cost.

Do you recommend the use of bio-monitor or GSR-meter?
DEEP was mainly developed without the use of these instruments. This was in part due to the fact that we mainly have worked long distance via Skype. At the time of development there was no possibility of transmitting meter reactions via the internet.
We have found that DEEP works very well without the use of bio-monitor. And therefore we teach it as an activity that doesn't depend on this instrument. Instead, we teach the clearer to ask additional questions to find out what is going on and to watch the indicators of introspectors to determine what to run and when to end the running of something.

Part of finding what to run is a simple system of asking the introspector to give a number value between 0-10 to items. Let's say we have 3 items related to an issue of 'Going to school.' We then ask: "On a scale between 0 and 10, where 10 means highly charged and 0 means no charge, how would you rate 'homework?'" "How would you rate 'playing ball?" How would you rate "the bully, Jonas?", etc. You then take up the most charged item first, say the bully Jonas, that was rated with 10. Then you take Homework (rated 8), then playing ball (rated 6). If two items have the same rating, you simply ask which item the introspector is most interested in running.

What are the prerequisites to be accepted for DCC?
DEEP Character Clearing is addressing the archetypical opposition games of the mind. This is actually high level stuff. A DCC program is usually started with addressing the general DEEP case of the person. When it is deemed possible and beneficial, the person will be started on DCC. This may only take about 5 hours. There is no other prerequisite to DCC except making sure the person can run it with benefit. There are no liabilities connected with receiving the program. There is no danger to the case, except that it may not be running well. That said, it was developed to benefit advanced students and clients. Clients, who have done lots of other self-improvement work and want to take a major step towards their goals in personal development are the prime group that DCC aims at assisting.

Can DEEP be combined with traditional clearing?
Yes, it often can. If you for instance take an ability grades process we have experimented with simply adding a DEEP step after we have reached a traditional end point of realization on the subject accompanied by very good indicators—and a free needle, if a bio-monitor is used.
The clearer reviews the session report quickly to find any DEEP elements or packages the technique uncovered. There may only be such a DEEP element in 20% of the cases. But if it is present, it is simply addressed using the tools in our tool box. Doing that, some underlying and often heavy charges are removed. This results in more stable gains regarding the subject at hand.

How do you deal with attached live entities or spirits?
In some modalities attached live entities play a central role on the higher levels. In DEEP they are not seen as a major factor or dark influence. They are seen as additional viewpoints that we maybe need to take up as counter-vectors when dealing with a certain issue or incident. The first viewpoint and issue to take care of is of course the introspector's own. Then secondly the other known players' viewpoints that can be gotten. In the training materials there is more data on this. Our experience has been that once the introspector's issues have been resolved, these additional viewpoints, these counter-vectors, tend to take care of themselves. So it remains a firm rule in DEEP that the introspector's issues are what is important to address and resolve. How others react to the person's issues, including entities, should be considered but should not be given first priority. It is a well known fact, that once a person has worked through an issue and made up his or her mind, what critics and well meaning advisers say is of very little importance.

Are these entities simply dead spirits?
Here we are into religion and cosmology. It is outside what this book and the basic subject of DEEP is about. My personal opinion about this is that most of what is contacted as 'entities' are better understood as attention units split off from some Being. Most of them are split off from the person's own psyche. Some of them are split off from relatives' and associates' psyches. These attention units, it appears to me, have a similar property as DNA. They seem to contain all the faculties of their parents. Maybe the phenomenon of 'entities' can be understood in the framework of 'entangled particles'. In quantum physics, entangled particles remain connected so that actions performed on one affect the other, even when separated by great distances. The phenomenon puzzled and upset Albert Einstein, by the way, and he called it "spooky action at a distance."
Whatever the explanation might be, we leave this to others. What we seek to accomplish in DEEP is to make the client's viewpoint stronger, to make the person capable of controlling his/her own destiny. Our approach to this is to spend our time and efforts on doing just that. As the person gets stronger, new counter-vectors turn up and they are then dealt with as such.

Who can be trained as DEEP clearers?
At the time of publishing we have several people in training in a more informal setting. We are planning to develop shorter seminars in DEEP where the participants are teamed up to do clearing teamwork two and two. This will be delivered in Copenhagen and via the net.
To be accepted for training as professional DEEP clearer, we prefer candidates who are already trained in some modality of therapy or self-development. This gives the best possible background.

Who delivers DEEP clearing and how?
At the time of this writing (May, 2015) it is only delivered professionally by the Ability One Group in Copenhagen, Denmark. We have, however, several students in training to become professional DEEP clearers in various parts of the world.

What is your opinion on Emotional Intelligence?
This subject is very relevant to DEEP. DEEP certainly is a highway to develop someone's Emotional Intelligence. EI has several definitions. One definition is:
“The ability to perceive emotion, integrate emotion to facilitate thought, understand emotions and to regulate emotions to promote personal growth.”
In other words, it is about integrating the emotional side in one's personal life, in one's relationships and in one's professional life. It is about interacting well with others and taking one's own and other people's feelings into consideration and using the power of emotions.
Since we work with understanding and integrating the emotional side with thought and action of the client in every session, it is no surprise that tests show a marked rise in EI after DEEP.
Social Intelligence is also advanced by DEEP for that simple reason that the client’s issues are viewed from all relevant points of view.
Scientific studies have shown that people with high EI have greater mental health, exemplary job performance, and more potent leadership skills.
